documentation at HZB
overview
The HZB library collects and makes accessible documents from science and administrative sources. The library
- collects and offers lists and full texts of publications by HZB authors as part of our endeavour to supply literature but also as documentation of results of research of HZB
- develops with DoMa a collection of predominantly external documents which are of interest across departments and units of HZB.
- stores and offers, in an internal archive, non-scientific files from all HZB units, which are for the time being not being used by those units.
documents management DoMa
In DoMa, the library collects and offers electronic documents which
- are of interest for employees across boundaries of HZB organisational units
- come from external sources and/or do not refer to solely internal operations within HZB
- are of sufficient interest to justify storage in a central system.
Typical documents in DoMa are research or annual reports of institutions with similar research directions or EU documents or documents from the federal government.
Everyone in HZB may suggest documents for entrance into the system. Any suggestions are evaluated in the library and new entries are added at the appropriate place to the growing tree of ordered documents. Documents should be in pdf or Word format. Any documents on paper will be transformed, in the library, into an electronic format.
