Please observe the copyright conditions of access. Notably there is to be no distribution of downloaded articles, and downloading and any archiving is solely for your own scientific use.

 

Specifically excluded is any systematic downloading of articles for future use.

 

Access to electronic SPIE ressources

Starting October 1st, 2009, there is, for everyone at HZB, access to electronic ressources of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers Inc. (SPIE), i.e. to

right from any HZB office computer. Access is planned for one year as a start and is in lieu of past access by inter-library loan.

SPIE provided information about access details, notably about searching and alerting services, are found here.


Please observe the conditions of use which follow from the SPIE license conditions. These conditions determine specifically that

  • any users of electronic access are affiliated with HZB or have legal access to the HZB library's collection
  • articles may be downloaded and stored solely for your own scientific use and in your own archive
  • short excerpts from downloaded articles may be shared with individuals outside HZB on a person-to-person basis and only in the form of a hardcopy or in equivalent quality (no digital quality)

Please consult library staff if you are in doubt about what you legally may or may not do when accessing electronic ressources. Violation of license conditions may result in exclusion from access and in compensation claims by SPIE.
