Large format printers
For color printing on large formats (A0 and even bigger) there are the two HP DesignJet printers 5000PS and 5500PS. They receive their orders (jobs) over the network printer dpos_a0 (available on any HZB system).
After the printing process from your application has finished, you have to process your job with the
status and job processing page.
You must assign your job (a job may only contain exactly one page and one copy request) first. Then you may review it more accurately and give the final print request. The operator on duty of FM-D will forward it to one of the two printers. A printout will take about 30 minutes to complete.
You can view the jobs on this page as a preview pricture, check it in the PDF viewer, causing its deletion or release the hardcopy. Finished hardcopies are laid down in Wannsee (Lise-Meitner-campus), IT Building, Room DV106.
Please deliver your print jobs early enough.
Avoid fridays or the last possible day before your deadline.
For the processing of the jobs you need your HZB web account. You can create jobs at any time. The printouts themselves are started manually, hence the service is available only for working days.

Do not use Microsoft PowerPoint for any poster production!
Please use the programs MS Office Publisher (contained in MS Office), CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.
PowerPoint is not designed nor suitable for printouts on big media formats.
