Orbital Workshop 2009

The Orbital workshop 2009 will take place on October 7th and 8th at the Bessy site of the new Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.

Orbital workshops are focused on topical issues on the role of orbital degrees of freedom in transition metal oxides and cover topics such as CMR, charge order, unconventional superconductivity, multiferroics and novel magnetism, as well as other hot topics in condensed matter physics such as FeAs superconductors. 

The workshop is structured as to combine both experiment and theory and present the latest results from high impact researchers.  At the same time we strive to give the opportunity for young scientists to present their work in a lively and expert environment.

The last orbital workshop was held at the MPI in Stuttgart in October 2007 with great success ! (see review in Nature Materials).
