The biophysics group is engaged in studies of structure and dynamics of biological macromolecules and membranes with neutron scattering methods.
Especially the interaction of neurotoxic peptides like ß-amyloid with lipid model membranes and time-resolved protein dynamics investigations are key aspects of activity.
The group runs the Membrane Diffractometer V1 and the BioLab, a user lab for preparing and characterizing samples prior and during neutron scattering experiments.
