BERLinPro (Berlin Energy Recovery Linac Project) is a 100-MeV superconducting RF CW linac with energy recovery at Berlin-Adlershof, which will be build by Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin für Materialien and Energie to develop and demonstrate the CW linac technology and expertise required to drive next-generation light sources that are based on the Energy Recovery Linac (ERL) principle.
Design of the magnetic optics for such an accelerator is a theme of this diploma. The work involves modeling with computer-based tools of the magnetic system of the accelerator.
After successful completion of the Master thesis a follow-up PhD thesis might be possible.
