Science, Technology & Highlights
The mission of our institute is the development, characterisation and operation of optical elements and optical setups for research with synchrotron radiation from infrared to the hard x-ray range. This challenge is taken up by:
- continuously improving the performance of our existing SR-beamlines to meet the needs of our user community
- developing and setting up new beamlines in accordance with user requirements
- designing and producing novel optical elements using micro- and nano-technological methods
- contributing to the development of optics for Free Electron Lasers (FEL)
