Our research aims at the understanding at a microscopic level of electronic and magnetic elementary processes in low-dimensional solid state systems via use and development of innovative experimental techniques.
Correlations between charge, spin and orbital degrees of freedom are probed in the time and frequency domain using fs laser and synchrotron radiation employing high-resolution photoelectron spectroscopy, photoelectron spectromicroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy and x-ray resonant magnetic scattering as well as complementary techniques.neutron scattering techniques.
