The BER II research reactor at the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin hosts a user facility open to the national and international scientific community. HZB offers a complete set of continuously renewed instruments for neutron scattering, tomography and radiography at the medium flux reactor BER II. Unique research opportunities are provided by world-leading sample environment for experiments at highest magnetic fields and lowest temperatures.
BER II
Call for proposals 2012/II
Due to the delayed restart of the reactor and a significant backlog of previous application rounds, the proposal round 2012/II for BER II has been omitted.
Beam time allocation 2012/I
The proposals of round 2012/I have been reviewed and ranked according to their scientific merit by the Scientific Selection Panel. Based on these rankings, beam time will be allocated to the best ranked proposal as soon as a schedule of BER II reactor operation for 2012 is available. All proposers will be contacted as soon as possible about final allocation of beam time to their proposals.

All proposals from round 2011/II has been shifted to round 2012/I.
