Call For Proposals 2nd semester 2012

 

Important:

 

Due to the delayed restart of the reactor and a significant backlog of previous application rounds, the proposal round 2012/II for BER II is suspended.

 

 

General information

Deadlines: 1 March and 1 September annually

for both HZB neutrons and synchrotron radiation beam time applications.


Instruments on schedule 2012/II

Due to the suspension of the proposal round 2012/II, no neutron instruments are available.

Concerning proposals for E-Hall instruments (thermal neutrons):
Since the security check for gaining free entrance to the E-Hall might take up to 3 months, BENSC strongly recommends to sent the required documents well in advance.

Peer Review

The decision on the inclusion of your neutron beam time application will be based on the information given in your proposals and, if applicable, on results, experimental reports and publications related to your previous HZB neutron experiments.


Support from the European Commission for Access to BENSC

Users with affiliation within the EU or within Associated States might be eligible for support for travel and subsistence under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Union. Priority is given to new groups and young researchers.
