How get to the Helmholtz Centre in Berlin-Wannsee

From Berlin-Tegel Airport to Wannsee

• with the city bus No. 109 or X9 (every 10 minutes) direction: S+U Zoologischer Garten; changing at S-Bahn station Charlottenburg to the commuter train S-Bahn S7 direction: S Potsdam Hbf to Wannsee Station
• from Wannsee Station take bus 318 direction "Hahn-Meitner-Platz" - end of line
• off-peak, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on weekend you have to join bus 118 direction "Stern Center/Nuthestr." to "Wilhelmplatz" and take a 10min walk. (For travel with heavy luggage, or in the evening and at weekends, we suggest to take a taxi from S-Bahn station Wannsee (~10€)
• total duration approximately 60 to 80 minutes
• tickets and fares of the BVG: Ticket price Berlin AB 2,30 €.
• regular connections: four times an hour
• by taxi it takes about 30 to 40 minutes and costs about 35 €

From Berlin-Schönefeld Airport to Wannsee

• by commuter train S-Bahn S9 direction: S+U Pankow from Berlin-Schönefeld Airport to S-Bahn station "S Ostkreuz"
• from there by commuter train S7 direction: S Potsdam Hbf to "Wannsee Station" and continue as above
• total duration approximately 75 to 95 minutes.
• tickets and fares: Ticket  price Berlin ABC 3,00 €.
• regular connections: three times an hour
• by taxi it takes about 45 to 50 minutes and costs about 40 €
• every hour you can use the train RE7: Dessau, Hauptbahnhof with the direct connection to Wannsee

From the main railway station "Hauptbahnhof" to Wannsee

• the commuter train S-Bahn S7 direction: S Potsdam Hbf runs to the Wannsee Station
• then continue as above
• total duration approximately 35 to 55 minutes
• some trains also stop directly at Wannsee Station, it is only a 10 minutes' ride from here to HZB
