Optical systems layout

Each experiment at a synchrotron source makes specific demands on the incident electromagnetic radiation. Such requirements typically include parameters such as energy of the photons, the bandwidth of the electromagnetic spectrum, flux or the size of the focal point. These parameters should also be variable in certain pre-defined areas.

By choosing an appropriate source (dipole, undulator, wiggler, etc.) a preselection is already taken. For precise beam characteristics a compilation of various optical, mostly reflective, elements is necessary.

Creating optical systems requires an applicable software. These in-house developments are:
