For time resolved pump&probe RIXS experiments for studying photoinduced phase transitions in complex materials we plan the use of a storage –ring synchronized Ti:Sa fs oscillator. The oscillator will operate at a repetition rate of 5MHz which is divided down to 1.25Hz (roundtrip-frequency of BESSY II) by an acousto-optical pulse picker. Benefitting from the x-ray micro focus strong focusing will allow for sufficiently high laser pump fluences for sample excitation. Pump&probe measurements will be conducted in the BESSY II regular operation mode providing a time resolution of ~ 50 picoseconds.
