TES@UE52_SGM
Transition Edge Sensor /UE52_SGM
The TES instrument is located at the soft x-ray beamline UE52_SGM, which provides variable polarization covering the range of 100 - 1500 eV with an x-ray spot size of approximately 60 µm (horizontal). Polarization can be freely chosen between linear (any orientation) and circular. Resonant Pulse excitation allows for "single bunch on demand".
The instrument will be dedicated to XAS, XES and RIXS experiments with a strong emphasis on low concentration systems.
Selected Applications:- impurities in solids
- molecular active centers
- low dimensional systems (thin films, nanostructures, adsorbates)
- bio-inspired molecular catalysts
Methods
RIXS, EXAFS, NEXAFS, XMCD, XMLD
