Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin receives "audit berufundfamilie" certificate

On 27 June 2018 in Berlin, the HZB was awarded the "audit berufundfamilie" certificate for its strategically designed family and life-phase conscious personnel policy. The certificate was presented to Anja Seehrich, the person responsible for work-life-balance at HZB, by the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Dr. Franziska Giffey.
The HZB is one of 77 employers that have successfully passed the berufundfamilie audit or audit familiengerechte hochschule for the third time. Only if the re-audit is successful may the employer continue the certificate.
A total of 300 employers - 153 companies, 106 institutions and 41 universities - received the award. The audit records the status quo of the family and life-phase conscious measures already offered and ensures with binding target agreements that family awareness is anchored in the organisational culture.

In order to strengthen the compatibility of career and family, the HZB will open a work-life-balance office by the end of the year. Employees are advised in detail on offers that improve family and life-phase conscious compatibility.
