What a race! At just 20 years old, Felicia Laberer outdistanced the competition in the single kayak at the Paralympics final in Tokyo and won bronze for Germany.

Today, 8 September 2021, we welcomed the happily smiling medal winner back at  HZB, where she is completing her commercial training. The management board and numerous colleagues gave her a warm welcome and congratulated her on her outstanding achievement.

The bronze medal Felicia Laberer proudly wears around her neck weighs 440 grams. The spectacular race in Tokyo took place only four days ago. However, resting is impossible for her in the next few days. This morning she arrived at the HZB in a good mood, in the evening she will go to the reception of the Governing Mayor and tomorrow to the vocational school. And after that it's time to pack her bags again: On Friday, Felicia Laberer leaves for Copenhagen, where the World Championships will take place. Of course, we're keeping our fingers crossed for this sporting highlight, too.
