Jan-Philipp Hoffknecht

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in the group of Dr. Sebastian Risse, where I focus on developing advanced operando setups and methods for studying solid-state batteries. My research aims to provide real-time insights into battery performance and degradation, accelerating the development of next-generation energy storage solutions.

As part of the "NaSeFest Project" (funded by the BMBF), I apply these methods to solid-state sodium-sulfur batteries, exploring their potential for safe, high-energy-density storage independent from critical resources.
