Meetings with Skype for Business

There are several ways to start a Skype for Business meeting. Either you select a contact from your contact list and right-click to start a Skype/video call, or you can start an "instant meeting" using the gear icon menu and then invite the desired participants.

You can also schedule a Skype for Business meeting with Outlook or open https://lyncweb.helmholtz-berlin.de/Scheduler in Internet Explorer.

In any case, you should have a speaker and a microphone or a headset connected, maybe a webcam if needed.

Screen sharing

During a Skype session you can present screen content, i.e. make your entire desktop or individual windows visible to the communication partner. You can also hand over control so that a help desk employee can actively support you remotely in case of problems. These actions always start from you. nobody can control your PC without your prior consent. You can take back the control or stop the presentation at any time.

Also holding a PowerPoint presentation to the conference participants is possible.
