Summer Festival 2022

Dear Colleagues,

We work together all year round. Now we want to celebrate together again. On Friday, the 9th September, between 12:00 and 20:00, the annual HZB Summer Festival will be held once again on the fairgrounds of Lise-Meitner-Campus in Berlin-Wannsee, this year’s theme being "Manege frei fürs HZB". All employees and their families, friends of HZB and former colleagues are cordially invited to come and join the fun.

A colourful entertainment programme awaits you with music, activities for kids, sports and, no doubt, stimulating encounters and discussions in an informal, relaxing atmosphere.

As every year, the entrance is free and there will be food and drinks at adequate prices.

Please note: All participants 14 years of age and older (internal and external) must complete a rapid daily antigen test prior to the event. HZB employees can do this in the test stations until 12:00. For externals, a self-test without a certificate (test strips only) is possible. This is not provided by HZB. External persons show the test strip at the gate upon entry. A cell phone photo is sufficient. Persons with cold symptoms are asked to stay away from the event.

HZB’s sports club (the Betriebssportgemeinschaft, BSG) will also be supporting the Summer Festival this year by providing sports equipment such as a beach volleyball, the badminton field with racquets and shuttlecocks, a goal wall and more. Our thanks to the BSG.

Special highlight this year are 3 yoga taster classes. Please pay attention to the announcements during the event.

There will once again be a shuttle service from Adlershof WCRC (departure 11:00)/PVcomB (departure 11:15) to Wannsee. So that we can plan this better, we ask you to please reserve shuttle seats as well, with the link below.


Getting home by public transport:

It’s best if you take the 318 bus line (until 19:47) from Hahn-Meitner-Platz or the 118 bus line from Wilhelmplatz to get to S-Bahn station Wannsee.
