Governance of the EMIL Core Facility

EMIL is operated as a Core Facility with contributions of several HZB and MPG institutes as well as FZJ.

The management structure of EMIL consists of four main bodies:

• the Governing Board (GB)
  The GB is the decisional body and meets once per year.
• the Steering Committee (StC)
  The StC as the executive body leads the scientific program. The StC meets twice per year.
• the International Advisory Committee (IAC)
  International scientific experts counsel the GB and StC on scientific aspects of the Facility. It meets once per year to work out advises for the GB and the StC.
• the Task Force (TF)
  The TF is composed of representatives from the StC. The TF meets once per month and is responsible for day-to-day management.
