UV-VIS Shimadzu UV-2700 @User Chemistry Lab

UV-VIS

The Shimadzu UV-2700 is a mid-range UV spectrometer in use by the Users Chemistry Laboratory. It contains a double monochromator system capable of 8-Abs measurements. It is optimal for measuring samples with low transmittance.

During measurements, real-time data can be sent to Excel for using macros to automatically obtain desired values. There is also a feature, which allows Spectral evaluation and allows a pass/fail judgment for quality control.

The Shimadzu UV-2700 is suited for uses in the fields of electricity, electronics, optics, chemistry, textiles, civil engineering, life sciences and food products.

Selected Applications:
  • Determining the band gap of semiconductors
  • Thickness Measurements of Cling Films
  • DNA and Protein Measurements
  • Vitamin Measurements
  • Total transmittance Spektrum of CNF
