Abstract:
In this work we present the preparation of AgGaSe2 thin films by Chemical Close-Spaced Vapor Transport (CCSVT) deposition technique and the structural evidence on the micrometer and nanometer scale for the segregation of metallic silver, Ag2Se, and Ga20 3 phases at the surface and in the bulk of chalcopyrite-type AgGaSe2 thin films. These structural issues can be directly used for an understanding of the electrical properties of AgGaSe2 thin films as determined by temperature dependent conductivity, Seebeck and Hall investigations.
