The Intersolar Europeexhibition focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage systems and renewable heating. Since its founding, it has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the solar industry.

In 2016 for the first time, the EU-PVSEC Conference, the world’s largest international conference for photovoltaic research, technologies and applications will take place at the same time and in the same location as Intersolar Europe from 20 to 24 June 2016.
Online registration for the EU-PVSEC is open. Regular registration fees are available until 18 June 2016.
Last but not least, we would like to invite you to join the 7th IW-CIGSTech Workshop and Dinner on 23 June 2016, a joint meeting from HZB and ZSW organised as a parallel event of the EU-PVSEC. IW-CIGSTech 7 will be an international workshop focussing on CIGS solar cell technology, combining scientific and technological aspects with their industrial applications. The workshop will consist of invited talks, discussions and poster presentations. Please note that the programme of the workshop will be fully complementary to the main Conference programme topics.

- Grüner Wasserstoff: Ultradünne Nickeloxidschichten erweisen sich als überlegenUltradünne Nickeloxid-Beschichtungen können die Leistung von Wasserelektrolyseuren mit Anionenaustauschmembran (AEM) deutlich verbessern. Dies hat ein Team um Dr. Michelle Browne nachgewiesen: Eine nur 10 Nanometer dicke Nickeloxidschicht übertrifft dabei die Leistung von herkömmlichen Nickeloxid-Pulverelektroden, benötigt dabei jedoch weniger als 1 % des Katalysatormaterials. Die Studie ist im „Journal of Materials Chemistry A“ veröffentlicht.
- BESSY II: Aufgedampfte Perowskit-Schichten in Tandem-Solarzellen verbessertPerowskit-Silizium-Tandem-Solarzellen erzielen deutlich höhere Wirkungsgrade als reine Silizium-Solarzellen. Ein besonders attraktives Verfahren, um diese Tandem-Solarzellen zu produzieren, ist die Co-Verdampfung der Perowskit-Vorläufermoleküle auf die Silizium-Teilzelle. Ein Team am HZB hat nun das Schichtwachstum auf Nanometerskala an BESSY II analysiert und einen neuen Weg gefunden, die Qualität der Perowskit-Schicht zu verbessern: Das Einbringen einer dünnen Keimschicht aus Cäsiumchlorid zwischen die beiden Teilzellen fördert ein gleichmäßiges Perowskit-Wachstum und unterdrückt die Bildung von unerwünschtem Bleijodid an der Grenzfläche.
- Hatice Mutlu an das Helmholtz-Institut HIPOLE in Jena berufenProf. Dr. Hatice Mutlu ist neue Professorin für Nachhaltige Polymerchemie am HIPOLE Jena, dem Helmholtz-Institut für Polymere in Energieanwendungen. Am 17. August 2026 besuchte sie den HZB-Campus in Berlin-Adlershof, besichtigte die Röntgenquelle BESSY II und tauschte sich mit Forschenden und der Geschäftsführung über die künftige Zusammenarbeit aus.
