The Intersolar Europeexhibition focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage systems and renewable heating. Since its founding, it has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the solar industry.

In 2016 for the first time, the EU-PVSEC Conference, the world’s largest international conference for photovoltaic research, technologies and applications will take place at the same time and in the same location as Intersolar Europe from 20 to 24 June 2016.
Online registration for the EU-PVSEC is open. Regular registration fees are available until 18 June 2016.
Last but not least, we would like to invite you to join the 7th IW-CIGSTech Workshop and Dinner on 23 June 2016, a joint meeting from HZB and ZSW organised as a parallel event of the EU-PVSEC. IW-CIGSTech 7 will be an international workshop focussing on CIGS solar cell technology, combining scientific and technological aspects with their industrial applications. The workshop will consist of invited talks, discussions and poster presentations. Please note that the programme of the workshop will be fully complementary to the main Conference programme topics.

- Grüner Wasserstoff mit PEC-Elektrolyseuren: Die Transportprozesse im BlickEine Option, um die Energie des Sonnenlichts zu speichern, ist die Erzeugung von Wasserstoff in PEC-Elektrolyseuren. Die Aufskalierung dieser Technologie ist allerdings noch eine Herausforderung. Ein Team am HZB-Institut für Solare Brennstoffe hat nun mit 2D-Fluoreszenz-Bildgebung und Partikelvelozimetrie beobachtet, wie sich Ionen und gelöste Gase im Elektrolyten während der Elektrolyse bewegen. Die Einblicke sind neu und können bei der Entwicklung von größeren PEC-Elektrolyseuren nützlich sein.
- Neues Kontaktmaterial steigert Wirkungsgrad von Perowskit-SolarzellenEin neu entwickeltes Material für den Elektronenkontakt verbessert die Wirkungsgrade von Perowskit-Einzelsolarzellen und Perowskit/Silizium Tandemsolarzellen. Das neue Material basiert auf einem Carboran-Molekül und bietet gegenüber dem bisher genutzten Standardmaterial aus so genannten Fußballmolekülen eine Reihe von Vorteilen, zeigt die Studie, die federführend von einem Team um Steve Albrecht erarbeitet wurde. Inzwischen ist das Material patentiert und kommerziell erhältlich.
- BESSY II: Neue Probenumgebung erlaubt Einblick in thermokatalytische ProzesseEine neuartige Messzelle ermöglicht erstmals Untersuchungen mit weicher und harter Röntgenstrahlung unter hohen Drücken von bis zu 20 bar und Temperaturen von bis zu 400 °C. Dies liefert neue Erkenntnisse über thermokatalytische Prozesse, wie beispielsweise die Fischer-Tropsch-Synthese zur Herstellung synthetischer Kraftstoffe. Die Entwicklung der Messzelle gilt als Meilenstein im Rahmen des Care-O-Sene-Projekts.
