Accessibility statement in easy read version
Accessible means:
People with disabilities
can use the site more easily.
The HZB works with Germany.
Laws say:
Therefore the website must be accessible.
There are many laws about this.
We want to follow these laws:
- EU 20166/2102
- BITV 2.0
- BBG
- EN 301 579 V2.1.2
- WCAG 2.1
What we have done so far:
- A specialist has checked some pages on our site.
She said:
What is good.
What must be improved. - We have changed our pages.
And improved many things.
We have checked our site again ourselves.
In December 2020.
We made this statement on 12 January 2021.
What is accessible and what is not:
We have checked several pages.
Some are accessible.
Some are not.
Not accessible are:
- We do not have texts in sign language.
- Some images lack alternative text.
- Not all audio files and videos have subtitles.
- There is a button to change the language.
Between German and English.
This button is not always accessible. - Not all files are accessible.
For example PDF files. And PowerPoint files. - On some pages the contrast is not accessible.
That means: the colours are hard to see.
These things are not yet accessible
because it takes a lot of work.
But we are working to make as
much accessible as possible.

You can write to us.
Or call us.
