Abstract:
This paper presents results of modeling the shape of the satellites of the F 1s line in the Xray pho toelectron spectra of fluorinated multiwalled carbon nanotubes using the semiempirical quasimolecular large unit cell method. The modeling results adequately describe the key features of the shape of the satellite F 1s spectra, in particular, the additive contributions to the F 1s satellites from several graphitelike layers of nanotubes containing different amounts of attached fluorine.
