Business card Dr. Christopher Kley
Dr. Christopher Kley studied Physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and did his diploma thesis on femtosecond energy and electron transfer in Photosystem II at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion Mülheim an der Ruhr. He performed his PhD work on atomic-scale characterization of metal-organic templates and photosensitizers on surfaces in the group of Prof. Klaus Kern at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research Stuttgart and was awarded a PhD degree by the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Christopher Kley joined Prof. Peidong Yang's research group at the Department of Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley as a Feodor Lynen postdoctoral researcher to work on electrochemical CO2 conversion and characterization of materials for energy conversion. As of February 2019, he leads the Helmholtz group Nanoscale Operando CO2 Photo-Electrocatalysis (CE-NCO) at the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie and the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society.
