The KOALA Labs are set up with the aim to scale up technology towards industrial silicon wafer dimensions. To this end, a production line has been developed, set up and run at HZB since 2021 by the KOALA team being led by Dr. Jona Kurpiers. The system enables fully automated perovskite and tandem solar cell processing on industrial relevant areas of up to M6 size wafers.
