Research interest:

Accelerator science

Contributions to BESSY II lattice design, commissioning and operation, the BESSY Soft Xray-FEL, Stars, bERLinPro (design contributions and position as project officer) and, since summer 2020, lattice design BESSY III.

I serve in two international panels and as referee for publications. 

Non-scientific contributions:

Engagement for the ‘Long Night of Science’ with several accelerator-technological models and a movie, Ombudsperson for two terms, vice chair of the Scientific Technical Council during the past two election periods.

We brought up three children, born in 1989, 1991 and 1994.
